Although simple in appearance, the Signature CD player weighs 30kg, making it one of the heaviest players in its class. It is designed with great thought and is made from machined aluminium. While it switches on from the rear panel, in the centre of the embossed YBA logo is a thermosensitive standby switch which responds to the touch of a finger.

The two selector switches are on the left hand side with the first handling the playback functions (play, pause and stop) and the second handles forward, backwards and skip track.

The rear panel includes two pairs of analogue outputs, an asymmetrical pair on RCA plugs and a symmetrical pair on XLR sockets. A single digital coaxial output is also provided.

YBA uses a totally symmetrical design in the Signature CD player with only active components in the signal path. No passive components are used.
